Christ has saved us not only to snatch us from the eternal consequence of sin but to make it possible for us to glorify God by serving Him in the beauty of holiness. Glorifying God is the main cause that should compel us to live a life that is God honoring.
A life that’s built on expressing our deepest appreciation, gratitude, and reverence to what Christ has done for us on the cross. If we’re in Christ, there must be a total transformation that takes place in our lives as a result (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If there’s no change at all, then it’s pointless for us to have come to Him in the first place. Therefore, it would have been much better had we stayed in our old ways of life due to fact that we’re doing both Christ and ourselves a great disservice. Moreover, if there’s no transformation, this proves that we didn’t really need Christ in our lives.
Most importantly, one thing you need to realize is that your willingness to live a transformed life after receiving Christ is the main factor that will demonstrate whether or not you were sincere in the decision that you made to follow Him.
